Sharing is Caring!

My blog was aiming for woman of all ages who can love themselves and others. It is hard now a days to find girls lifting each other up instead of constantly putting them down. I wish those people would realize they are just not cool! You just made yourself look so ugly to the mature ones out there who are going to go farther in life. After writing the post on Mandiberg it is safe to say that success is not going to come to everyone on a silver plate. Some, yes, but others no, it is going to be hard and stressful. If there was a support group or networks of empowering woman then maybe we could have motivation or reference for a job or school work. I am sure there are tons it would have to be something someone really looked into. One does not know who they are going to need in life until it is too late. I have learned that the hard way plenty of times.

After all that venting, if my blog’s material could be shared in any sense for helpful little tips, or up lifting words, and stories then I would have to say I would be content. Social media plays a huge role in sharing now a days and in class we learned so many ways that it can be. I feel as though my blog is very Facebook related or even other social websites for woman.

That wasn’t frustrating or anything …

When it comes to projects like this I honestly try my best to find some patience. These types of things I am not into, but try and do the best I can with the minimal knowledge and pleasure I have for them. I did a spinoff on the show King Of Queens I pretty much watch it everyday. One of my favorite episodes is where Doug the husband never knows what gift to get his wife Carrie for her birthday so this year he got go laser eye surgery and it went wrong. I recommend watching the OG clip right here  before watching my armature one to get the idea. I had to use a YouTube converter to get the voice over which was easy. I picked the black and white background and characters because if you know the show Doug and Carrie’s relationship is very to the point and black and white. They are the laid back typical best friend couple who gets on each others nerves, but at the end of the day love each other. I really hope this is not a software I would have to use again because graphics is not my strong point if you could not tell! But it is good to try new things and feel out your fears.

“Sorry for what I said before my coffee…”
SO I was on my way to my internship and decided to leave a little bit earlier to stop for coffee. I went to bed late last night and I needed some caffeine to get me going. After I got my coffee and arrived to my internship I was reading the heat cover and realized they were advertising a Starbuck Rewards… I got kind of bored that I had to look more into it.

Here’s how it works
“To enjoy free drink and food rewards, you’ll need to earn Stars. Get one Star when you pay with your registered Starbucks, Teavana or La Boulange Card or the mobile app at a participating store or from specially marked Starbucks® products where you buy groceries. Collect more Stars, earn more rewards. Joining is easy. Have a Starbucks, Teavana or La Boulange Card handy to create an account. Track your Stars online or through the mobile app, and we’ll send an email when you’ve earned a reward.”

There is a Welcome, Green, and Gold Level in the program. The welcome level you receive a birthday drink, 15% coupon, and offers via email. The green level is when you receive 5 stars within 12 months and it gives you the same 3 things as the welcome plus free refills on store on hot or iced tea or coffee. Lastly, the gold level is 30 starts within 12 months and everything that the other 2 levels offer plus a free food or drink with a personalized Gold Card.

This whole idea might seem stupid to some, but for someone who is a big fan Starbucks or coffee it is something fun with a company that gives back. One can wasily sign up online and I used a bitly shortened URL to the site. There one can sign up or even through their phones they offer the reward.

Fight like a GIRL!

Defend- to ward off attack from; guard against assault or injury (usually followed by from or against) (

Mixed Martial Arts- hybrid combat sport incorporating boxing, wrestling, jujitsu and other disciplines. (

It is easy for most men to get their way in physical fights against woman because naturally they are built stronger and bigger than most woman. Physical and sexual assault is something that goes on everyday. This should not stop any woman or young girl from having the right and ability to defend herself. We hear tragic stories about domestic abuse or see movies, and sometimes they have happy endings. Why don’t all females have the ability to learn a form of self defense? I feel as though it could be offered in schools as part of a gym class. I am not singling out men, but in reality the statistics show that woman are more physically assaulted then men. National Domestic Violence Statistics

  • According to the U.S. Surgeon General, domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women in the United States.
  • The American Medical Association estimates that their male partners assault 2 million American women each year.
  • The U.S. Department of Justice estimates that 95% of the victims of domestic violence are women.
  • A woman is beaten every 15 seconds in the United States. (Bureau of Justice Statistics, Report to the nation on Crime and Justice. The Data. Washington DC Office of Justice Program, US Dept. of Justice. Oct 1983)
  • 35% of all emergency room calls are a result of domestic violence.
  • Of those who abuse their partner, well over 65% also physically and/or sexually abuse the children.
  • Each day …..4 women die as a result of abuse.

These are just some of the facts that I researched.

This video that I found off YouTube is from one of my favorite movies “Enough” starring Jennifer Lopez who I have a serious girl crush on. Anything she does I love, but this movie really shows how tough woman can be! This video and idea can relate to my blog because it is about woman empowerment and being able to love ourselves enough to understand what we rightfully deserve.  This video is okay to use on my blog according to Fair Use Check List because it is educational, people can profit from it, and all copy rights were awarded.

Tired of being Tired…

What I feel some parents and people do not understand that now a days college and life is just plain TIRING! We would love to have time for jobs, family, friends, and sleep. When we do get those extra hours we are either consuming them with our friends, our beds, or the family. What we would love to also have is money. Can never have enough of it. I tried this semester working just because I can not have the job that I do in the summer because I am not home, home. Recently I had to quit because life (college) and my internship just have to come first. The meme I chose was labeled under “Yes-but-no” but directly on the picture itself says “No, I don’t have a job, No I ain’t lazy”. Just because students or myself are not working and it seems like we have that extra time it is where we put that effort into our friends and family for an outlet on the stress. At least for myself I have no problem working in the summer so I can save for fun things and the school year. This is what I am feeling right now since I recently quit and maybe it was a vent sesh, but I know some people can hear me out on this one haha!

So grownups, parents, people…. Cut us some slack!

Yes But No <- Check it out

Promotion, advertising, marketing, or whatever you want to call it getting publicity is something every company, website, product, or person wants in order to be noticed. I want my blog to be recognized as personal, fun, and inspirational. I would love it to reach woman of every age not just this generation. When I think of a social media website that could help me get noticed Facebook comes to mind…. Why? Think about it, it is the one of the biggest sites socially ever created that people from 5-100 are on. It out beat Myspace, Frendster, and more whose name I could probably never think of because they are that irrelevant to popularity. The demographic and easy accessibility gives it the edge to all users. If I am someone who wants to show their blog to all woman of all ages I know Facebook has that ability. I can name 20 females in my family alone that are not in the teenage category who are on Facebook… hey my grandma is on it! If my blog had to advertised anywhere on social media Facebook would help me tremendously. I feel as though because it is the big sister of social media everyone should have their blog promoted on Facebook along with others of their liking!

Body Pump @ College Ave Gym

If ya hate going to the gym and standing in a basement waiting for the ONE machine to open up I highly recommend Bodypump. It is fun to do with your friends to get a good laugh while working out. The description on the website is “Want to improve your strength? Get in shape quickly? Feel confident about yourself?  Body pump will get you the results you are looking for fast! The 45 minute cutting edge workout challenges all major muscle groups by using the best weight room exercises like squats, lifts and curls while listening to awesome music. You take on what you know you can do and push through till the end of class. I love it!

I do have a Fitness Flex Pass which gets you into the classes, but it is so worth it then sitting around waiting in a hot gym.
